To support our growth, we are searching for an Inside Salesperson for our West Chester, PA location.

The Inside Sales – Scientific Equipment position serves “on the front line” of our Sales team, and in conjunction with the Marketing team, contributes to making research institutions aware of Tecniplast’s broad product portfolio and value proposition to their stakeholders. This position will require a basic understanding of scientific research procedures and equipment to facilitate engaging conversations with our core customer base. You will also support strategic marketing campaigns and follow up on key digital campaigns targeting engaged prospects.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Generate leads and pipeline opportunities through high volume cold calling and email outreach
• Work in conjunction with the Outside Sales Team to schedule meetings and open new accounts
• Conduct research to identify potential new business prospects and pre-qualify leads of prospective customers to build a robust pipeline
• Identify key decision-makers, influencers and unique pain points
• Schedule face-to-face meetings with local customers and attend local scientific meetings
• Conduct outbound phone and email outreach to engage prospects to educate them and generate genuine interest in our products and targeted value proposition
• Quickly and confidently establish rapport with prospective customers and decision-makers and engage in productive conversations designed to discover sales opportunities
• Gain commitments and schedule brief web-based product demos and meetings and other call-to-action activities
• Update account information and diligently log activity, data and insights into salesforce.com
• Achieve or exceed monthly individual and team goals
• Some overnight travel (less than 10% of the time) with some local travel as needed

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of sales experience
• Bachelor's degree with a concentration in a science related field (Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Etc.)
• Strong desire to learn and grow and advance in a sales or marketing career
• Enjoys investigating and discussing scientific research topics
• Recognized work ethic and unwavering desire to consistently exceed goals and achieve results; motivated, disciplined and driven
• Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, persuasion and negotiating skills
• High energy, enthusiastic and engaging personality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; impeccable phone presence
• Strong organizational, time management and follow-up skills
• Ability to learn and adapt to new concepts and technologies
• Ability to take direction, be coached and mentored
• Strong web and computer skills; knowledge of CRM tools like salesforce.com to manage sales pipeline activities a plus
