Job Title: 220: Electric Safety Instructor
Location: 4299 NW Urbandale Dr, Urbandale, Iowa, 50322
Duration: 12 Months plus Contract
Pay rate: $45.00 per hour - $50.00 per hour on W2 with no benefits.

Job description:

Purpose of Position

• The contract electric safety instructor will train and evaluate BHE Renewables employees on electric safety practices and advise management on determining qualification of electric workers. This position requires the status of a high professional subject-matter expert on utility electric work and safety practices.
• Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
• Train employees on electric safety practices for those employees to become qualified electric workers.
• Assist management in determining employees who have met qualifications for a variety of tasks of qualified electrical worker.
• Identify appropriate electrical work procedures, and assist an leadership in developing appropriate electrical work procedures for a variety of tasks.
• Lead safety planning sessions with employees in order to prepare for safe performance of upcoming tasks involving electrical work.
• Conduct safety observations of electrical work.
• Perform safety investigations and project leadership, as requested.

Salary: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• electric safety instructor: 3 years (Preferred)
• electrical work: 3 years (Preferred)
