TECHSTAFF is Hiring a Construction inspector Near Flagstaff, AZ

  • Key Responsibilities-Provides project construction inspections and / or materials testing support for projects that involve construction activities for transportation, civil, and structural building projects;
  • Inspectors monitor construction operations for compliance with contract provisions, drawings, and specifications;-Technicians provide construction materials testing of soils, asphalt, concrete, masonry, structural steel, and other misc.
  • items;-Often includes extended hours and may include assignments on projects throughout Central Arizona.Role RequirementsCertifications with ATTI, ACI, ICC, AWS, Nuclear Density Gauge;
  • Proficient in construction inspections;Proficient in specifications and plan interpretation;Possess good mathematical skills;
  • Experience performing independent analysis and problem solving;Demonstrated organizational skills;Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge;Demonstrated experience working successfully in a team environment;
  • Preferred Qualifications-Considerable knowledge of roadway, buildings, structure, construction methods, procedures, practices, plans, specifications;
  • materials used and performance and safety responsibilities related to the construction of transportation facilities, civil work, and building construction;
  • Knowledge in the use of electronic data processing equipment and contract management software;-Knowledge of general inspection and testing principles;
  • safety; and quality control-quality assurance principles;-Skill in the use of nuclear density, and materials testing equipment;
  • and-Ability to interpret roadway, civil, and / or building plans, specifications, and codes.Physical DemandsLifting of concrete cylinders, wheelbarrows, and other tools is necessary;

Requires the ability to lift 60 pounds;Position may require work in adverse weather conditions, long hours, night shifts, and weekends.
