TechnoMile is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our Product Documentation Team. The TechnoMile Technical Documentation team develops high-quality, user-centric content for TechnoMile customers to help them configure and use the TechnoMile products. As a Lead Technical Writeron our growing Technical Documentation team, you will explore our product to learn and write about its fantastic features, while working independently on other innovative projects. You will also collaborate with teams across TechnoMile—including Development, QA, Client Services, and Product Management—to strategize, design, and develop content.

The day-to-day: 

• Documentation Creation and Maintenance:
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, release notes, and troubleshooting guides, following established guidelines and standards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product managers to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Update and revise existing documentation to reflect changes in product features, enhancements, and updates.
• Technical Expertise and Research:
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products, services, and underlying technologies through research, hands-on exploration, and collaboration with development teams.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, quality assurance, and support, to gather requirements and validate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs, address feedback, and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Mentor junior technical writers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them develop their skills and grow in their roles.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to share best practices, tools, and techniques for technical writing and documentation.
• Documentation Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization within the documentation workflow.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement tools, templates, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality of documentation.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• You should have at least 6 years of experience as a technical writer, with a focus on software documentation.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise documentation.
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as Zendesk, Confluence, or DITA XML tools.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
• Flexible to work across different time zones.
