RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead human-centered concept exploration, testing and product definition.
• Work with research to gain a deep understanding of user needs.
• Identify and generate new ideas to fill portfolio gaps, grow share and drive growth.
• Design and advocate for the product vision internally and with key external partners.
• Develop product pricing and positioning strategies.
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
• Develop scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
• Work closely with engineering teams to prioritize resources and identify times to refresh technologies.
• Support product launches including working with the marketing and other team members.
• Evaluate promotional plans to ensure consistency between product and message.
• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.
• Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services.
• Use everything you’ve learned to design highly visual roadmaps for areas of technology, products and product families, connecting them to evolving user needs and values.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager
• Established track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
• Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in safety and security products, services, accessories and experiences
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
• Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
• Savvy at navigating a multidisciplinary org
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or marketing
