Technical Professionals Group provides validation, durability, mileage accumulation and quality testing services for vehicle and mechanized equipment projects and programs in the engineering, R&D, quality control and quality assurance sectors of the automotive industry.

What we are looking for:

TPG is seeking a motivated, dependable, and safe Facilities Technician to support an automotive testing company in Wittmann, AZ. This position will assist in maintaining 12,000 acres of beautiful Sonoran Desert, 80 miles of asphalt and dirt driving tracks.

You must keep safety as number one, show the ability and willingness to learn, and be detail oriented.

Essential Job Duties

  • Conduct general facility and grounds maintenance for the Arizona Mobility Test Center
  • Maintain equipment, tools and ensure they are always safe and usable.
  • Execute facility and building maintenance tasks to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, assist lead technicians with all tasks as needed.
    • Need to be well versed in HVAC and chillers
  • The Go-To-Person for all HVAC related issues
  • Work with site Electrician on all MEP related work orders and PM's
  • Monitor building management system (BMS)
  • General maintenance duties such as, equipment moves, furniture moves, and/or arranging for outside service help when needed.
  • Use various hand tools and equipment necessary to complete the job.
  • Assist in maintaining roads and tracks when requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Be highly organized, dedicated to assignments and committed to safety
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Able to work cooperatively in diverse and challenging environment
  • Have good command of the English language with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Spanish speaking (plus)

Education & Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • A clean motor vehicle driving record is necessary
  • Minimum 5 years prior facilities building experience
  • Prior experience with light construction and general building maintenance

Physical and Environmental Job Requirements

  • Standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving items of up to 30 lbs. and more
  • Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds or more of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
  • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
  • Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels
