We have a 12-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Technical Business Analyst.
The Technical Business Analyst will support the .NET Software Development Team, working collaboratively with clients IT and program teams and software engineers across the Authority in developing software solutions that meet market and strategic objectives, while leveraging common business processes and delivery models, to achieve scale and performance expectations.
Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to:
- Work with functional business leads to develop and transform requirements into systems design and implementation.
- Collect, document, map, and analyze business process and system dependencies.
- Translate system design requirements into Agile Scrum Product Backlog.
- Develop and manage Agile Scrum Sprints from Product Backlog.
- Effectively communicate status, collaborate, and problem-solve with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify recommendations for process improvements, overcoming constraints, and resolve difficult operational and technological issues.
- Identify, mitigate, and manage risk.
- Manage ongoing support requests and research / document the needs behind those requests.
- Assist in quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
- Recommend leveraging existing functionality that might be available rather than building new.
- Agile product backlog for the various software development initiatives.
- Agile Scrum Sprints.
- Business process work flows.
- Presentations.
- Training Materials.
- Technical and Functional Design, where applicable.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Business Analysis or Scrum Master role.
- Interest and experience in energy and energy efficiency.
- Prior experience in government is beneficial.
- Experience and skill in discerning true requirements stemming from needs as opposed to business units' less critical wants and wishes.
