Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and organized Production Lead to oversee our production operations and ensure the efficient execution of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. The Production Lead will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, fostering a positive workplace culture, meeting production quotas, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Schedule Management:
- Develop and maintain production schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Monitor progress towards quarterly and annual production goals.
- Ensure production quotas are met daily.
Day-to-Day Management:
- Manage clock-ins and clock-outs, ensuring accurate attendance records.
- Document timing of tasks to identify areas for efficiency improvement.
- Track and log waste, and monitor ingredient expiration dates to minimize waste.
Culture:
- Foster a culture of celebration, recognizing birthdays and celebrating team wins while coaching on losses.
- Promote inclusiveness and provide ongoing education and training opportunities for all team members.
Scheduling:
- Schedule staff two weeks in advance, managing call-outs and daily task schedules.
- Coordinate training schedules for new employees and provide ongoing training for all crew members.
Budgeting:
- Manage labor, ingredient, and supply budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Compliance:
- Maintain current certifications and prepare for new certifications as needed.
- Conduct daily compliance checks and ensure documentation is complete.
- Manage lot numbering system for all finished goods.
Safety:
- Enforce warehouse safety rules and ensure compliance with PPE requirements.
- Maintain documentation for safety and emergency plans.
- Complete daily safety checklists to ensure a safe working environment.
HR:
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and training to staff.
- Manage payroll submissions accurately and timely.
Production Execution:
- Meet production deadlines, demands, and quotas.
- Maintain par levels and monitor production on the floor.
- Manage quality control throughout the production process and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Product Development Support:
- Collaborate with procurement to obtain necessary ingredients and packaging items for new products.
- Ensure new products are ready for shipment in collaboration with fulfillment teams.
Fulfillment:
- Manage the fulfillment team, overseeing all fulfillment KPIs and goals as outlined in the Fulfillment Lead job description.
Cleaning and Hygiene:
- Ensure adequate stock of cleaning and hygiene supplies and train team members on procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse to specifications daily and throughout each shift.
- Oversee dishwashing and cleanliness standards.
Procurement and Vendor Management:
- Work with operations to keep necessary ingredients in stock and manage equipment needs.
- Coordinate with vendors for laundry services, cleaning chemicals, and pest control.
- Maintain stock of PPE and shipping supplies.
Document Organization:
- Maintain centralized repositories for recipes, manufacturing SOPs, and product guides.
- Ensure compliance with third-party inspection forms and expectations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with operations and marketing teams on production schedules and inventory management.
- Alert operations and marketing of overstocks or shortages for proactive planning.
- Work with stakeholders to align production schedules with projected revenue.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in production management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Google suite.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
