Teammates Commercial Interiors is Hiring a Field Project Manager Near Denver, CO

Teammates Commercial Interiors is an office furniture dealer located in the east RiNo District in Denver, Colorado. Our team provides a full range of furniture and wall options, specification, design & sourcing as well as installation and on-going maintenance services. We enjoy collaborating with customers to understand their business objectives and then create furniture solutions that support these objectives. We often partner with architects & design firms as well as the commercial real estate, project management & developer communities to help bring their client’s vision to life. It takes a team of talented associates to develop projects from concept to completion.

General Purpose:

The Field Project Manager maintains knowledge of all aspects of the process within the dealership from after the initial sale through the installation and follow up phase of the project. Attributes for success should include clear communication skills, time management, task oriented, problem solving and flexibility to manage several orders within tight time frames. The Field Project Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Attend any required site meetings
  • Provides professional customer interface and client relations throughout project
  • Reviews project site, plans and product specifications
  • Provides technical consultation to customer and customer’s team
  • Provides single point of contact for on-site installation, and coordinates with, all third party firms (A & D firm, contractor, cabling vendor, building manager, electrician and other trades, clients’ facility and IT groups, movers, etc.)
  • Maintains detailed project documentation, including documentation of key project decisions and customer/project requests/revisions
  • Provides timely, formal written communications throughout project to client, dealer and project team
  • Reviews ship dates for adherence to original requirements
  • Interfaces with factory, as necessary, regarding shipping schedules and special instructions for manufacturing/shipping
  • Ensures field paperwork is complete, and delivered in a timely manner
  • Walks project and develops punch list; responsible for punch list resolution
  • Attend weekly required project management meetings and provide project updates to team.
  • Oversee and manage each project making certain customer is satisfied.
  • Participate and perform light deliveries and installs as needed to support our “Teammates Delivers” program where deliveries are completed by Teammates FPM.
  • Provide timely, formal written communications to team with details concerning the progress of a project or any setbacks we might experience.
  • Help eliminate additional costs of second trips charged by installation companies by performing work yourself. Be a Problem solver.
  • Impression – dress and speak professionally. Customer focused.
  • Deliver and demonstrate demo products to customers to help promote potential sales opportunities.
  • Participate in regular manufacturing training opportunities and become certified in Teknion products as time and progress allow.

  • Previous experience in a team based, customer service environment, demonstrating a commitment to customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution, to effectively work with all levels of staff, customers and vendors in a professional and tactful manner

  • Proven ability to change priorities quickly, manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully coordinate efforts of internal and external resources in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate potential issues and/or requirements', determines an appropriate action and implements it to ensure success
  • Strong organizational skills, planning and time management skills to work in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, be flexible and adaptable while maintaining exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, work efficiently and independently under pressure to meet stringent deadlines while maintaining composure and consideration for employees, customers, and vendors
  • Demonstrated familiarity with project administration, and ability to plan logistically for all phases of project life cycles, and effectively follow-up/through on tasks
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, sound judgment while providing the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts as required
  • Clean driving record
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and elevations preferred
  • 1 (one) year experience in an office furniture dealer with systems furniture knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation/communication software and tools currently being used in the office environment
  • Has strong product and technical knowledge, including applicable building codes, correct product application, custom applications and electricity and cabling, etc.
  • Has the ability to analyze, plan, schedule and implement project installation
  • Has strong knowledge of all aspects of contract furniture management, including account management, project management, order preparation, order management, installation, relocation, and contract furniture administration
  • Has working knowledge of interior construction, interior design, moves and relocations, trucking, furniture manufacturing and shipping, building management and current workplace issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
