Job Description
- Verify insurance coverage of each patient.
- Handle payment for service not covered by insurance.
- Explain coverages to patients.
- Obtain referrals for patients when they are not covered by insurance.
- Update patient information/keeping records.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required; An associate degree is highly recommended.
- Two (2) years of insurance verification or medical billing experience with knowledge of CPT and HCPCS coding is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
- Essential knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and time management skills are required.
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with no weekends.
- The location of the building is immediately off Highway 290.
