Summary/Objective
The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) is seeking candidates for high- visibility positions in our Vocational Rehabilitation Program. GVRA offers candidates the opportunity to work with community partners, organizations, and internal and external stakeholders throughout the state to develop partnerships and leverage resources. The Vocational Rehabilitation Program provides individualized vocational rehabilitation counseling, pre-employment transition services, employment skills development services, and supports to facilitate competitive integrated employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
The Deaf Services Coordinator will work within Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Client Services to manage the workflow, work product and processes within the Deaf Services area. The ideal candidate will serve as a statewide subject matter expert and be responsible for effective collaboration with eight (8) VR Districts to deliver quality rehabilitation services that are designed to prepare individuals who are Deaf, Deaf/Blind or have hearing loss to seek, secure, and sustain competitive integrated employment outcomes.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch; frequently sit and use upper extremity to finger, handle, feel, grasp and reach. The employee must be able to frequently lift, move and/or carry up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift, move and/or carry up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job includes close vision, to include fine print, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Typer and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
