  Lead a drafting team in designing 3D drawings & fabrication drawings for top-of-the-line dust collection systems
• Collaborate and meet with Sales & Operations to review the job schedule
• Schedule work for your team
• Draw promotional materials for our products
• Design accurate job layout prints in an easy-to-read style and with colored detail, including detailed close-up drawings when needed
• Detail assembly drawings for part placement, part number, and quantity
• Work closely with engineers
• Go onsite for drawings and pictures as needed
• Research best design practices
• Train your team on best design practices within Autodesk Inventor

Lapp Millwright LLC is looking for a Lead Drafter to join our team. You will play a critical role in our company by designing parts and assembly drawings while leading the rest of your department. We are a humble-hungry-smart team that believes "people are our greatest asset." We provide fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repairs for dust collection systems for food services, manufacturers, and feed mills. Our company's purpose is to honor God, develop people, and impact the community.

Our Ideal Lead Drafter:

• Experienced: 3 years of drafting experience. Hands-on fabrication experience in shop sheet metal and/or structural steel is highly preferred.
• Computer Skills: Experience with Autodesk Inventor & Auto Cad is highly preferred. General PC knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Team Leader: Someone who is professional, maintains a positive & encouraging attitude, and is accountable & responsible for the team's actions. Humble enough to admit mistakes & driven to do a great job.
• Detail-Oriented: The ability to work efficiently & effectively within time constraints, remaining organized & scheduling projects with reasonable deadlines while keeping the larger picture in mind.
• Career-Minded: Someone who loves learning & improving, is humble & coachable, and is committed to improving their department over time.
• Communication Skills: Able to motivate others & collaborate to build strong relationships within the organization

What we offer our Lead Drafter:

• $30-$45/hour, depending on experience
• Consistent 40-45 hours/week
• In-office schedule preferred, but willing to consider hybrid-remote for the right candidate.
