  • Serve as our customers' first point of contact coming into our office and the friendly voice on the phone
  • Part-time hours (20-30/week.) Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, starting at 9 am and ending between 1 and 3 pm. Tuesday begins at 8 am and ends between noon and 2 pm. All hours are dependent on the day's workload and tasks
  • Answer phones and check voicemail
  • Prepare and post delivery tickets
  • Answer customers' general questions about propane
  • Data entry
  • Prepare contracts for services, leased equipment, propane supply, etc.
  • Communicate with other team members to meet our customers' needs
  • Accept customer payments over the phone, in person, or through the mail
  • Occasionally make trips to the bank or post office
  • Keep office areas clean

Sweetwater Propane, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Customer Service Representative/Service Department Assistant who will be the "Face" of our company and connect with customers in person and over the phone.

Our company is a young, faith-based company that has been steadily growing. We strive to meet the needs of our customers with our team of professionals who use our knowledge, abilities, and resources to enrich the lives of our customers, community, and each other.


Our Ideal Customer Service Representative:

  • Experienced: 1-2 years of customer service and administrative experience
  • Skilled: Strong typing skills. Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Basic office administrative skills
  • Teachable: Someone who is motivated and eager to learn, demonstrates a good work ethic and a positive attitude, and can prioritize tasks & deliver high-quality work
  • Organized & Accurate: Able to correctly enter data and process payments. Must have strong attention to detail
  • Great Communicator: Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated: Assesses the work required, has the initiative to get started, and drives tasks to completion
  • Independent: Able to accomplish tasks quickly without much supervision while being a team player
  • Customer-oriented: Ready to serve our customers reasonably, graciously, and friendly. Able to address customer concerns in a way that builds loyalty
