Current efforts include a full-featured energy simulation for the US Army and Marine Corps, and mission planning applications for autonomous aircraft. Initial focus will be on supporting development and testing of mission planning applications for autonomous aircraft and on developing new features for our energy simulation.This role requires regular visits to our customer offices in Washington D.C.Duties:Guide our team's technical strategies, vision, and architectureSolve technical problems involving front end software engineering, and UI development, refactoringDesign and build software that is highly available, performant, scalableLearn and operate services that support 1000s of requests a dayDesign products for front-end development and web applications (e.g. wireframes, low and high-fidelity mock-ups, or click through prototypesUtilize design tools like Sketch, Figma, Axure, Principle, and FramerRequired Education and Certifications:B.S. degree in Computer Science, or an engineering or science fieldRequired Experience:3-5 years experience with front end software development with a focus on React/TypeScript and scientific computing applicationsExperience developing unit and integration testsMust be able to pass a U.S. government background check.
