Fiscal Grants Manager
Full Time position
$30.87 Hourly -depending on experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Financial Management
  • Oversee the fiscal management of all grants and contracts.
  • Monitors find activity and accounting. Identify and reconcile diverse accounting problems.
  • Respond to and initiate financial inquiries relating to state appropriations and restricted fund management.
  • Signature authority on financial documents including journal vouchers and budget revisions.
  • Coordinate with staff at research programs and other departments as a point of contact with funding agencies
  • Responsible for routine financial operations and may be delegated signature authority for routine business matters.
Grant and Contract Management and Close Out
  • Forecast current fiscal needs/communications, develop long range and strategic plans, processes and participate in planning organization wide scope. Research and resolve complex issues.
  • Work with the Principal Investigators and the Office of Proposal Development preparing and reviewing proposal budget. Develop, prepare and manage all budgets and accounting for major research programs.
  • Monitor proposal submissions.
  • Analyze expenditures to ensure compliance with a variety of grants and funding parameters.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for correcting inaccuracies.
  • Manage all active grants and contracts to ensure administrative and financial compliance with University, State and federal regulations.
  • Compile and prepare monthly management reports and other financial reports as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting of related field-Master’s degree or professional licensure preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years ‘progressively responsible professional or management fiscal experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proficiency with financial operations, automated accounting systems, word processing, creation and manipulation of spreadsheets, querying of data base information and financial reconciliations required.
  • Expert knowledge of OMB Circulars 2 CFR 200 and how they apply to management of federal grants.
