TCI Transportation is Hiring a Regional Operations Manager Near Pomona, CA

Position Overview
The primary functions of the Regional Operations Manager are to oversee each assigned region and ensure profitability, growth, and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Regional Operations Director and involves professional close working relationships with all TCI departments/team members on all levels, including but not limited to TCI Ownership, executive staff, administrative staff, managers, supervisors, drivers, dispatchers, dock workers, mechanics, customers, and vendors. This position is subject to calls, text messages, and emails and is required respond to emergencies and requires flexibility for occasional night, weekend and holiday work when needed.
Core Roles and Responsibilities as follows:
  • Manage on-time Delivery and achieving Customer Service Goals
  • Collaborate with Transportation Manager and Customer to ensure effective communication, relationships, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage operations to Maximize Revenue growth and Minimize Costs.
  • Staffing - Interview, Recruit, Onboard, and Train Transportation Managers, Operations Supervisors, and Drivers to ensure best talent on team and a fit with TCI Core Values
  • Meeting with Customer management to build a positive working relationship.
  • P&L responsibility and financial planning support and execution control for your terminal operations. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that all costs are accurate (i.e., payroll and temporary labor, equipment, cost center application, fuel card management & appropriate offsets)
  • Training your Transportation Managers and administrative team so that they are effective, productive, and capable of supporting our safety plan and customer service.
  • Execute TCI Operations Training Manual book with all Transportation Managers to ensure complete understanding of processes.
  • Ensuring Safety policies and procedures are upheld and all Transportation Mangers and/ or operations are rated at or above 80% on safety scorecard.
  • Ensuring DOT / FMCSA / local regulations are being met.
  • Ensuring maintenance is being performed to company standards and ensuring fueling compliance for all accounts.
  • Ensuring we meet or exceed our customers' performance targets.
  • Promote the use of TCI Technology, Lytx, Drivecam, Ten Street driver recruiting, Samsara for ELDs, customer portals, loads in McLeod are all handed live and appropriately so TCI can bill and collect timely.
  • Regular worksite attendance is an essential function of the job and is necessary for a variety of reasons including but not limited to teamwork, face-to-face interaction with clients, and working with items or equipment that are at the place of business.
  • Employee will have independent discretion in judgment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay:
Starting Pay Range= $80k
