Position Summary: We are a fast-growing FinTech company that is looking for a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our team. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the cloud infrastructure and solutions. This role involves collaborating with leadership and CTOs to align technical strategies with business goals while ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency in cloud operations. The Cloud Architect should be quick to grasp new concepts, thoroughly explore the depths of an issue, and be persistent in understanding the root cause of issues. This role requires strong interpersonal skills due to continual interaction with managers and users with varying technical backgrounds in a fast-paced work environment. Here is what your responsibilities will be: Architect, design, and implement scalable, resilient, and high-performance microservices-based solutions catering to the fintech domain. Develop strategies and best practices for microservices architecture, ensuring modularity, flexibility, and ease of maintenance. Formulate cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring robustness, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Demonstrate proficiency in AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, EKS, ECS and others, leveraging these services to architect solutions and optimize performance. Utilize Terraform to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, automating, provisioning, and managing cloud resources efficiently across multiple environments. Deploy, manage, and orchestrate containerized microservices leveraging Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and resource efficiency. Implement stringent security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, focusing on data protection within microservices architecture. Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud infrastructure for microservices, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks to enhance efficiency. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate architectural designs, and maintain comprehensive documentation of deployed infrastructure. Here is what you'll need to be successful in this role: The successful candidate will possess business operations experience and skills, leadership expertise, analytical and critical thinking skills, and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven track record 8 years as a Cloud Architect specializing in microservices within the fintech sector. Extensive expertise in AWS services with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional) . Strong proficiency in Terraform, Kafka, and Kubernetes for building and managing microservices architectures. In-depth understanding of microservices principles, design patterns, and their implementation in cloud-native environments. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues within microservices architecture. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Required Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and understanding of IT concepts, best practices and procedures Self motivated with the ability to work individually or in a team Ability to leverage tools to perform day-to-day administration tasks, root-cause analysis and service restoration (such as backup, restore, failover, log interpretation, and performance monitoring) Ability to multitask and manages work effectively by prioritizing own assignments, schedules, and meetings resulting in timely completion of work. High degree of personal integrity. The applicant should eager to learn and obtain technical certification. Must be able to receive and follow instructions given by management. Must have the ability develop solutions to unique problems.
