Job Description

The Sr Manager, Design to Consumer Value (DTCV), will own and drive cost savings strategy and value add opportunities across Tropicana BUs. Through close collaboration with R&D, Plants, Supply Chain and Finance, this role will develop a 3-year pipeline of DTCV ideas to support strategic plan objectives and AOP targets by way of ideation sessions, technical vetting due diligence and leading priority setting and tracking. Experience with leading product teardowns and optimization of product/package design, supply chain, and procurement is essential. This position will be responsible for tracking DTCV project pipeline, leading high complexity initiatives ensuring project timeline and deliverables are met from Ideation to Launch. Leads a team consisting of 1-2 Project Managers, whose responsibilities include ownership of all DTCV projects, pipeline tracking, data analysis, and monthly reporting. This role will maintain a lens for operational efficiency and improvement by leveraging network scale and opportunities to eliminate attributes driving cost and complexity reduction. This position will collaborate cross functionally across the enterprise and have political savvy to drive DTCV execution with peers and individual contributors with development and messaging of strategic vision to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive DTCV program overall across TBG portfolio
    • Accountable for full program delivery, on time and in full
    • Lead biannual DTCV lifecycles by brand to evaluate portfolio, understand potential opportunities and initiate new initiatives to fuel the innovation and optimization pipeline.
    • Partner with BU, R&D VPs and Sr Director PMO to plan & prioritize projects and ensure sufficient resource availability.
    • Align efforts and realize synergies with clean sheet activities.
    • Track project timelines, budgets and risks vs targets; provide regular status updates via DTCV Sprint Reviews
    • Contribute to the development of, and adherence to, an explicit process for tracking proposals from ideation through implementation.
    • Surface and mitigate project risks proactively and drive proactive problem solving.
  • Leverage DTCV to drive revenue and profitability growth across portfolio
    • Integrate DTCV methodology into strategic planning, AOP and governance processes.
    • Serve as liaison to PMO Leadership Team; escalate issues needing broader input for resolution.
    • Quantify and drive value contribution to innovation and productivity portfolio metrics.
    • Lead BU teams through prioritization to ensure pipeline is delivering against financial objectives and supported with required resourcing.
  • Lens to ensure integrity, consistency, and effectiveness of DTCV process, financial impact and sustainment.
    • Own the overall methodology (including playbook).
    • Foster influential, change management mindset to institutionalize DTCV across the organization.
    • Challenge existing paradigms to leverage new tools and ways of work to identify quantify and deliver DTCV with agility.
    • Propose changes to DTCV process to drive continuous improvement and further value unlocks.
  • Keen understanding of consumer products and innovation with the ability to drive technical expertise and knowledge sharing through TBG organization.
  • Expertise in stage-gate, project governance, project management, and agile methods to drive projects with varying levels of complexity.
  • Lead BU teams through prioritization to ensure pipeline is delivering against financial objectives.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workflow in a fast paced, action-oriented environment.
  • Act as a mentor to other parts of the organization for DTCV methods, tools and leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing or other related discipline. Formal certification in Project Management a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience in design to value (DTV), R&D, program/project management, including experience leading large, complex projects.
  • CPG and/or Food & Bev industry experience, innovation, new product commercialization, offering optimization, productivity strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally across multiple sites. Comfortable presenting to varying levels of the organization, including senior leadership
  • Action oriented, self-starter able to drive complex programs
  • Thought leader with continuous improvement mindset to identify gaps and develop new processes required.
  • Experience in managing and driving change within a fast-paced environment required.
  • Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project, SAP S4, SAP PPM and BI systems
  • Estimated travel: < 15%

TBG offers a 401(k) plan administered through Fidelity which allows you to contribute pre- or post-tax dollars and invest as you choose to save for retirement. TBG makes employer matching contributions to your 401(k) account and will contribute 100% of the first 3% and an additional 50% of the next 2% for a total of a 4% company contribution.

Compensation Range: $120,000.00 - $145,000 USD
