ABOUT THE ROLE:

The purpose of this position is to manage and collect outstanding payments and assist clients with Billing related inquires. The Billing Specialist is responsible for reaching out to clients and ensure early intervention on delinquent accounts. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have experience in customer service.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Resolve billing inquiries and payment delinquency.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls. 
• Follow federal and state guidelines.
• Follow up on payment arrangements.
• Identify issues causing account delinquency and discuss with Manager.
• Ensure all client contact information is current.
• Regularly monitor open accounts and identify outstanding debts.
• General office work assigned by management.

• Ability to explain all workout options within company guidelines
• Collect client payments and record accordingly
• Handle high inbound and outbound call volume

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

• Prior experience in customer service 
• Experience in handling sensitive information in a discreet and ethical manner
• Proficient computer and typing skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication in both English and Spanish (Preferred)
• Accounting/Finance background (Preferred)
• Experience in Tax Resolution Industry (Preferred)
• Highly motivated and excellent customer service skills
• Professional demeanor and attitude
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management and able to prioritize workload and follow up with clients in a timely manner
• Ability to negotiate effectively
• Aptitude to manage details effectively 
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

The above-range represents TaxRise’s current good-faith pay scale for this role. TaxRise reserves the right to modify or update this range at any time.
