Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Processor to join our team. The Payroll Processor will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of payroll processes and systems, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time

- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits

- Calculate and deduct appropriate taxes, benefits, and other withholdings

- Review timesheets for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies

- Prepare payroll reports for management

- Maintain employee records related to payroll, including tax forms and direct deposit information

- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters

- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Payroll Processor or similar role

- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and regulations

- Proficient in using payroll software such as QuickBooks or Surepayroll

- Familiarity with journal entries and general ledger accounts

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
