POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the accurate and timely recording of Revenue, Accounts Receivable and Banking information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Revenue Accounting

• Review, reconcile and post daily sales transactions into general ledger
• Review and reconcile third party, cash, credit card, gift card, and other receipt transactions
• Review and reconcile of POS reporting discrepancies, missing transactions, change order variances, and armored car pickup related issues.
• Responsible for month end cash and AR reconciliation review for all assigned accounts, making sure cash balances are properly reconciled to the General Ledger

Banking

• Responsible for multiple Banks Reconciliations with large volume
• Process and upload ACH and Positive pay files to bank through online treasury
• Responsible for recording and reconciling credit card refunds processed the handling of credit card chargebacks
• Reconcile and post credit card and delivery fees
• Apply principles of accounting to analyze and reconcile financial information

Accounts Receivable

• Responsible preparing invoice billing and compiling corresponding supporting documentation for A/R related activity
• Review the accounts receivable aging reports for identification of customer balances that need to be followed up for payment
• Ensure daily receipt of funds and researching and reconciling collection variances

General

• Complete pre-month-end and month-end processes, duties, exhibits and reports as assigned
• Compile month end balance sheet reconciliations for review
• Review and validate safe count logs
• Review and enter Paid Outs
• Ensure the integrity of financial information by managing accounts, reconciliation of accounts, entering and balancing reports
• Act as the liaison between restaurant management teams and the Restaurant Support Center for finance related inquiries.
• Ability to clearly communicate and train processes and procedures to ensure accuracy of transactions
• Verify that all transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
• Assist with Audit and regulatory requirements 
• Assist with special projects as needed
• Works independently on day-to-day activities required while also providing support, as needed to the finance department and other departments, as requested.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience

Experience: Three to five years related experience; knowledge of restaurant/hospitality industry preferred but not required

Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required, with advanced excel capability. Great Plains and Nolan Accounting software experience preferred.

Other Requirements: Ability to work flexible hours preferred. Understanding of revenue recognition principles.
