We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Technology Programs.........

Responsible for leading and managing technology projects for our corporate office and shopping centers. Responsibilities include working with a cross-functional team to deliver projects on time, on budget, and per the agreed to scope. The ideal candidate will have a customer service focus, proven experience managing vendor partners, the ability to handle critical issues in real-time, and contain problem solving capabilities.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include…

  • Follow Taubman Program Management Methodology; establish plans, projects and programs for assigned technology initiatives
    • Create business case and identify business benefits for the project
    • Manage projects from vendor sourcing to RFP to project completion with benefit realization
    • Lead vendor selections, contract negotiations, adherence to technology standards developed by Taubman
    • Provide training (where applicable) and production support documentation
    • Manage project budgets, forecast and receivables

Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure everyone is appropriately engaged in the project delivery

  • Vendor management & focus on continuous improvement
    • Streamlines current processes with internal and external stakeholders as needed
    • Facilitates process re-engineering initiatives and documents current state and future state process
    • Works with assigned business stakeholders to identify business needs and translate those needs into documented requirements
  • Strategic planning
    • Assist with establishing roadmaps in partnership with PMO and IT Leadership
    • Attend conferences, provide white papers, understand, and provide insight on technical opportunities relevant to our business
    • Assist in quarterly project prioritization process, ensuring we’re focused on the most value-add work

The ideal candidate will have…

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or similar field is required or equivalent education and experience
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of increasingly responsible technical project management and vendor management experience
  • Account and Vendor management skills
  • Strong negotiations skills
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working cross functionally with various groups and departments (internally as well as externally)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced work environment
  • Understanding of infrastructure communications, products, services, and systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven track record in solving problems and building solutions
  • Strong business acumen with ability to present to senior leadership
  • Must work well under pressure with proven expertise in managing multiple fast-track projects concurrently.

Essential Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Ability to use a computer for long periods of time
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to handle documents and files
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Must be able to work under short-term deadlines and work under stress
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
  • Occasional travel is required up to 10%, must have the ability to travel internationally
