MUST have CURRENT New Mexico Peace Officer Certification as of 01-01-2022

Must live within Town City limits at hiring.

Pass Pre-Employment screenings.

Position to supervise 4-5 Patrol Officers, 1 Animal Control/ Compliance Officer and 1 Office Admin Assistant

Must be able to perform police duties for 12hr shifts, perform traffic stops during shifts, actively patrol town and businesses, schools and perform administrative duties. Town is seeking Active Chief to cover day/night shifts.

High School Diploma & 2yr Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, MUST be a New Mexico Certified Officer (in good standing with NMDPS)

15 years Law Enforcement Experience

Preferred Field Training Officer Instructor and Firearms Instructor. Any additional instructorships a plus. (Preferted due to travel and training cost)

Preferred Fleet management skills.

Town Council will interview and approve applicants.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
