TASTES ON THE FLY is Hiring a Food Runner/Kitchen Expo Near Denver, CO

POSITION TITLE: Food Runner/Kitchen Expo

REPORTS TO:  Chef

Location: Denver International Airport

Shifts available:

  • 6am - 1pm
  • 11am - 6pm
  • 4pm - 11pm

Must be able to work weekend shifts as needed.

Must have reliable transportation if public transportation is not available before or after shift times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

These are essential functions and the percentages are estimates only.

  • 80% - Managing order tickets coming into the kitchen and proper food going out
  • 10% - Performing supportive functions – pantry work, storage runs, stocking, ware washing etc.
  • 10% - Setting up, cleaning and stocking expo area consistently

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Any combination of education, training and work experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Six months experience (1 year preferred) as food runner / kitchen expo in high volume restaurant
  • Willingness to participate in a 10-year criminal background check conducted by the FBI.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY:

  • Ability to understand verbal English
  • Ability to handle food safely
  • Ability to convert measurements
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work as a team player and communicate with co-workers effectively
  • Ability to listen to and follow direction
  • Ability read English
  • Ability to perform basic sanitation practices
  • Ability to handle a knife and other sharp objects with extreme caution and skill
  • Able to work weekends as needed
