Global Vice President of Data ScienceSo what does a
Global Vice President of Data Science really do? Think of yourself as someone who will re-imagine and orchestrate the successful delivery of analytics practice across our customer base. You will be someone who will ensure that the right level of competency is available in order to drive best-in-class analytics and also ensure accurate and timely resource fulfillment. You are also the person who will align the team to new approaches and market direction. As a leader you will also be responsible for all standards that apply to the function and ensure that KPIs are tracked and actioned in order to drive service delivery excellence. In conjunction with the Senior Vice President for Global Service Delivery , assist with creation of, planning for and deployment of the practice roadmap and associated actions. Make recommendations to the Global SVP and Global COO on the improvement of practice processes and tools and where appropriate help to establish these. Ensuring strong insight to future direction of the capabilities and technology of analytics function to ensure currency and future proofing.
As a
Global Vice President of Data Science, you will:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and communicate a comprehensive business intelligence and data strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives. Collaborate with senior executives to ensure the integration of data-driven insights into decision-making processes.
Data Governance: Establish and maintain robust data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security. Drive compliance with data protection regulations.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Lead a team of data analysts and data scientists to transform raw data into actionable insights. Create dashboards and reports for internal and client consumption, providing real-time insights into operational performance.
Technology and Infrastructure: Evaluate, select, and implement cutting-edge technologies and tools to support data collection, storage, and analysis. Ensure the scalability and efficiency of data infrastructure.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with departments across the organization, including Operations, Sales, and IT, to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and optimizations.
Client Engagement: Act as a subject matter expert in data strategy and business intelligence, engaging with clients to understand their specific needs and opportunities for data-driven enhancements to our services.
Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team of data professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Performance Measurement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of data-driven initiatives on business outcomes. Make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Do you have what it takes to become a
Global Vice President of Data Science?
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA) is preferred.
- Proven experience (10 years) in business intelligence, data strategy, and data analytics roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of the BPO industry and the role of data in improving operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of data privacy and security regulations.
- Can work US hours (for candidates residing outside of US)
- We are open to hire in any of these locations: USA, India, Philippines, Colombia. This is a remote work set-up.
