We are seeking an organized, collaborative, and experienced AWS Solution Architect. This person will be tasked with evaluating the organization/businesses' requirements, making architectural recommendations for implementation and deployment of the application on AWS. The Solution Architect will collaborate with business leaders, team members, etc. to learn more about a company's objectives, designing effective cloud-based solutions and strategies to fulfill them. Depending on a business's needs, the AWS Solution Architect may recommend both software and hardware products for the organization to implement. This role will lead the developers in creating solutions that follow industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain cost-efficient, scalable cloud environments for the organization.
• Keep cloud environments secure and prevent downtime or security breaches.
• Determine the risk associated with third-party platforms or frameworks.
• Make hardware and software recommendations for the organization, based on the needs of the project and organization.
• Understand business objectives of the company and create cloud-based solutions to facilitate those objectives
• Translate ideas into technical tasks.
• Manage and lead software development team.
• Keep up to date on best practices in cloud computing and make improvements to the cloud infrastructure of a company or organization, as necessary.
• Dictate software coding standards.
• Ensure development teams follow best practices, coding standards, and technical requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience as an AWS Architect, DevOps practices, and data platform solutions.
• Strong proficiency in designing and implementing complex AWS architectures, including VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other relevant AWS services.
• In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools.
• Proven experience in building self-service provisioning platforms and empowering teams to provision and manage infrastructure resources independently.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and configuration management tools.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance frameworks in the AWS ecosystem.
• Expertise in designing and building cloud solutions for data platforms, including data storage, processing, and analytics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex infrastructure and data platform issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty are highly desirable.
