Tarantino Cho Eye Center is Hiring a Front Desk Supervisor Near Glen Burnie, MD

We are seeking an experienced Front Desk Supervisor with a magnificent work ethic for our busy ophthalmology practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides direct point of contact leadership to the Patient Care Representative team.
  • Working Supervisor with front desk duties and supervisor responsibilities.
  • Front desk PCR duties as required to maintain proper coverage for the clinic.
  • Ensure daily operations are performed timely and accurately while also providing outstanding customer service to all patients.
  • Make sure all necessary patient information are entered into the system accurately and timely.
  • Verify insurance, perform insurance authorizations, and update patient information as needed.
  • Maintain and create weekly schedule for staff to ensure adequate coverage is available. Ensure the team is adhering to their schedule.
  • Resolve patient concerns and understand when to seek assistance from Administrator or providers.
  • Train and onboard new hires, consistently monitor performance of staff. Acts as resource and team lead during training and re-educational opportunities.
  • Along with the Practice Administrator maintain the Patient Care Representative training manual.
  • Maintains cleanliness and professional appearance of the front office area of the clinic.
  • Check voicemails daily & communicate with the Administrator regarding any patient issues.
  • Ensure patient confirmation calls are completed.
  • Ensure team members are completing their assigned tasks.
  • Ensure patients are properly greeted.
  • Ensure all team members complete the end of day batch report & have money in their envelopes.
  • Ensure all team members have working equipment. Alert Practice Administrator of equipment failure or malfunctions.
  • Maintain a consistent flow at the front desk stations: check in, check out, delivery of charts to the tech station.
  • Make sure patients are assisted in a timely and efficient manner while attempting to avoid backlog and patient delays.
  • Maintains the office supply order forms for the department.
  • Reschedule patient appointments as needed.
  • Adheres to organizational policy with particular attention to standards of conduct and to confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA.
  • Assist with initial and annual employee evaluations, as necessary.
  • Assist with updating clinical standards, front desk policy and protocols.
  • Report to the Practice Administrator regarding performance of staff, including evaluations, disciplinary action.
  • Cultivate teamwork environment amongst staff and supporting departments.
  • Ensure all staff have the required tools and resources necessary to perform job duties effectively.
  • Resolving team concerns and questions and having the ability to problem solve issues that may arise at the front desk.
  • Performs routine and periodic check-ins with staff.
  • Communicates with Practice Administrator and provider ideas and solutions to enhance patient safety, administrative workflows as well as technical resolutions and advancements.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

High school Diploma; Bachelors Degree is preferred

Previous experience managing front desk staff in a medical practice

Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Korean) preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
