Tantus Technologies is Hiring a Remote Capital Planning Investment Control Analyst
Overview:
Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Capital Planning Investment Control (CPIC) Analyst to work as a member of the engagement team providing day-to-day support for the client CPIC program and the IT Investment Management process.
What You'll Do:
Develop and review OMB 300/53 business cases.
Provide comprehensive investment planning and management advice and assistance to support client's CPIC program.
Responsible for cataloging, registration, and maintenance of portfolio applications inventory data in the client's portfolio management tool.
Identify high-level redundancies and gaps in functional capabilities of the portfolio.
Work with, analyze, and synthetize budget and program data.
Provide project management best practice techniques and advice in support to clients' IT portfolio investments and develop standardized procedures.
Perform business analysis and capital planning duties associated with CPIC process in satisfying OMB A-11 requirements.
Respond to budget/IT portfolio data calls and work closely with client CPIC office in day-to-day activities of its CPIC program.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
In-depth understanding of the CPIC process, including Select, Control, Execute, and Evaluate stages.
Commitment to ongoing learning and staying updated on industry best practices.
Proven track record as a CPIC Analyst with success in managing IT investment portfolios.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for business case evaluation and performance assessment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reports and stakeholder interactions.
Knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines related to IT investments (i.e. OMB Circular, Fiscal Budget Cycle)
Project management skills preferred for planning and executing IT projects through their lifecycle.
Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
Expertise in budgeting, resource allocation, and financial management for IT projects.
Development and management of IT spend plans.
Familiarity with IT systems, software, and CPIC tools.
Proficient in Excel, including creating pivot tables.
Abilities:
Ability to align IT investments with organizational goals and contribute to strategic planning.
Nice to Haves:
Expertise in budgeting, resource allocation, and financial management for IT projects.
