A public institution in Virginia is looking to add a new Network Engineer to their growing team. In this role, the Network Engineer will be responsible for assisting with the Design, Installation, Configuration, and maintenance of network-related architectures.
Responsibilities:
The Network Engineer will:

• Support customers and employees via email, telephone, and face-to-face interaction.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to the installation, administration, and maintenance of infrastructure.
• Track work using an industry level tracking system. Jira and ServiceNow knowledge would be helpful.
• Assist with scheduled and non-scheduled after-hours maintenance.
• Act as an escalation point for other Engineers, Consultants, Management, and courts that provide state services
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 5 years of relevant Enterprise Routing & Switching experience
• Experience with Enterprise Network Management Platform
• Networking experience
• Mid-Level understanding of Firewall Administration, Intrusion Prevention, Event Analysis, Network Analytics, and Packet Analysis
• In-depth understanding of network & security concepts and ability to implement solutions
• Hands on experience with Advanced Switching environments (Examples: Nexus, IOS & IOS-XE & ACI)
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)(
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Experience with ACI, SDWAN & DMVPN
