Tandym Group is Hiring an Associate General Counsel (Hybrid) Near Bronx, NY
***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work 2 to 3 days a week onsite at the Bronx-based office.***
Responsibilities:
The Associate General Counsel will:
- Review, revise and draft a wide variety of contracts and commercial leases
- Assist in the developing, drafting, maintenance, and communication of agency policies
- Develop, organize and maintain databases related to legal, compliance and risk management matters
- Oversee and conduct defense against litigation and claims
- Conduct legal research regarding relevant legal topics, as needed
- Oversee certain risk management functions, including helping to establish insurance criteria, policies and procedures
- Review and respond to subpoenas from law enforcement and other city agencies
- Develop, communicate and enforce systems and policies to increase efficiency and controls in the contracting process
- Perform other duties, as needed
- 2 years of relevant Legal experience, such as in-house, government practice, or practice in Employment, Corporate, Real Estate, Regulatory or Insurance Law at a firm
- Graduate from an accredited Law school
- Member in good standing of the NYS Bar
- Microsoft Office Suite proficient
- Solid analytical and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
