A DAY IN THE LIFE:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Global Sales Operations to lead our sales operations team in driving insights, excellence, and efficiency across our global sales organization. As a key leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, processes, and systems to optimize sales performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and maximize revenue growth and profitability.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  • Build, Lead, Coach, and Develop a best-in-class Global Commercial Sales Operations function.
  • This leader will be accountable for the following:
    • Sales Strategy and Planning: In partnership and collaboration with regional sales leadership, develops and implements sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives. Collaborates with regional sales leadership to align sales goals with overall business strategy.
    • Sales Process Optimization: In partnership and collaboration with regional sales leadership, streamlines and optimizes sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Identifies areas for improvement and implements solutions to enhance sales productivity and performance.
    • Sales Analytics and Reporting: Utilizes data analytics to provide insights into sales targeting, performance, trends, and opportunities. Develops and maintains sales dashboards and reports to track key performance metrics and inform decision-making.
    • Sales Enablement: Leads sales enablement initiatives to equip sales teams with the tools, training, and resources to enable and propel their success. Develops sales training programs, sales collateral, and sales tools to support sales effectiveness.
    • Sales Operations Management: Oversees sales operations functions, including field force sizing/alignments, territory management, quota setting, sales forecasting, and sales Ensures accurate and timely execution of sales operations processes.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and product management, to ensure alignment and coordination of sales efforts with overall business goals.
    • Technology Integration: Evaluates, implements, and optimizes sales technology solutions to support sales operations and drive efficiency. Leverages CRM and other sales tools to improve sales effectiveness and enable data-driven decision-making. The role entails overseeing all aspects of data management, including expert data management, as well as being responsible for external data acquisitions, integrations, and collaborations, akin to the functions performed by IQVIA.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

EXTRA AWESOME:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or economics preferred; bachelor’s degrees in finance, mathematics, engineering or related fields will be considered with sufficient career experience. A master’s degree in the same fields preferred and/or an MBA or equivalent.
  • 10 years related experience in a combination of management consulting, sales operations, business operations, and/or market access roles.
  • 5 years previous leadership or management experience.
  • International experience, leading projects and corporate initiatives.
  • Extensive direct work experience with delivering commercial products and services, particularly in consumer facing medical devices/ pharmaceutical space.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and sales automation tools to improve sales effectiveness and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively while driving results.
  • Ability to travel by car or airplane independently up to 50% of the time and work after hours if required by travel schedule or business issues.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $225,000 - $250,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.

Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts. You’ll also receive 11 paid holidays per year, a minimum of 20 days of paid time off (starting in year 1) and have access to a 401k plan with company match. Learn more about Tandem’s benefits here!
