Beginning in 1879, we are Linn County's First Children's Human Services agency. We are always evolving to serve the needs of our community. Our programs focus on prevention, treatment and outreach and serve children and teens of all ages. As a non-profit organization, Tanager is proud to support more than 4,000 children per year.

Job Details

The Detention Center Counselor will serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team providing counseling services and support to children, families and staff at the Linn County Juvenile Detention Center. This role will provide resilience based assessments for new admits at LCJDC and group building sessions for youths. Additionally this position will update the JCO's regarding progress and needs of the youths they are working with.

Qualifications

• Prefer a master’s degree in social work or related human services field
• Bachelor's degree in social work or related human services field with 3 years of experience which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
