POSITION CONCEPT:
The supervisor is responsible for supervising internal and external resources for the operation and maintenance of facility and building related systems for TECO Energy facilities. Also responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining processes that ensure asset integrity, operational readiness, NERC and environmental compliancy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION:
Required: Valid High School Diploma or valid GED
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required: Completion of a journeyman level electrical apprenticeship and 40 Hour Hazardous Waste Training certification.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum of seven (7) years of facility operations, maintenance, and construction experience.
Preferred: Understand the concept of Tampa Electric's financial/accounting systems
SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE:
Required: N/A
Preferred: Five or more years of supervisory experience.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Required: Direct working knowledge with design, operations and maintenance of facility and building systems.Knowledge of federal, state, and local building and mechanical codes and regulatory requirements. Working knowledge of building design, engineering, construction and building maintenance to include the National Electric Code, NFPA, Life Safety Code and other regulatory requirements.
Preferred: Knowledge of working in a union environment; and a thorough knowledge of the TEC IBEW contract.
