Responsibilities

• Monitoring the spa & salon schedule for your appointments to retain consistent scheduling
• Monitoring needed supplies for hair color, treatments, manicures, pedicures, body treatments, waxing and facials
• Responsible for working with clients to help them achieve desired hair, nail, skin and makeup styles
• Providing manicure and pedicure services, including acrylics and gels
• Coloring, cutting, styling and washing hair
• Perform facials and scalp treatments
• Offering recommendations based on preferences, hair and skincare needs
• Operating booking software, answering phones and assisting guests

Qualifications

• Guest Service and Communication: Good communication skills are required to understand a guest’s needs and preferences, as they often describe what they want and what they do not want. Must enjoy working and interacting with the public.
• Creativity: The cosmetology industry can be competitive, and the ability to be creative is crucial in retaining clients. You’ll be responsible for staying updated on ongoing hair styling trends.
• Organization: Cosmetologists will often see multiple clients in one day. The ability to stay organized and manage time in an effective and productive way is crucial in this role.
• Attitude: Must be energetic, positive, professional, responsible and reliable
• Cleanliness: Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards. Maintain proper disinfection and sanitation of work spaces and tools. Be responsible for the cleanliness of immediate work area as well as the property.
• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Completion of a cosmetology program is required
• Licensing in the state of Idaho required
• Responsible for completing continuing education as required to maintain active licensure in good standing
