Responsibilities

• Acquire a deep understanding of our culture and daily operations to ensure our team consistently delivers optimal playing conditions for our members
• Engage directly in tasks such as fertilizer and pesticide applications, water management, course setup, and daily maintenance to maintain high standards
• Stay informed about the latest chemicals and fertilizers used in our operations
• Ensure all spraying and fertilizer equipment is properly calibrated for accurate application
• Maintain detailed records of all applications and related reports
• Possess experience with irrigation controls and manual watering techniques
• This role is hands-on, requiring active participation in all aspects of maintenance and upkeep

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2- or 4-year degree program in turf management, providing a comprehensive understanding of turf care principles and practices
• Actively pursuing enrollment in a recognized turf management program
• Demonstrated proficiency gained from 1-3 years of hands-on experience working specifically within the context of golf course maintenance
• Capacity and willingness to obtain a pesticide applicator's license, indicating competence in the safe and responsible handling of chemicals used in turf management
• Thorough understanding of the game of golf, including familiarity with course layout, playing conditions, and golfer expectations, enhancing the ability to contribute effectively to course maintenance strategies
• Possession of a valid driver's license

Working Conditions:

• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance as per company standards.
• Be consistently available and prepared to work a minimum of 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
• Available to work mornings with shift beginning at 5:30AM
• Be open to working weekends and holidays as required.
• Perform various physical tasks throughout the day.
• Work in proximity to moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions.
• Frequently encounter wet and/or humid conditions as part of the working environment.
• Involves handling various fertilizers and chemicals commonly used in golf course maintenance.
• Requires lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Involves walking distances exceeding 5 miles per day.
