Assistant Professor of Business Administration
Talladega College is seeking an Assistant Professor to teach in the Business Administration program. This is a tenure-track position reporting to the Program Director for Undergraduate Programs and is slated to begin in fall 2024.
About the College
Talladega College, Alabama's first private historically black liberal arts college, has been known for academic excellence for over 150 years. The campus is on a plateau about 700 feet above sea level in the heart of a fertile valley in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is a quiet place - away from the distractions and fast pace of urban living, yet conveniently close to neighboring cities that offer extensive cultural and entertainment outlets as well as shopping, restaurants, and theaters. The college is just 25 miles south of the city of Anniston, Alabama, 50 miles east of Birmingham, Alabama, 85 miles north of Montgomery, Alabama, and 100 miles west of Atlanta, Georgia.
Division of Business
The Division of Business is administered by the dean who is responsible for providing leadership and vision and the coordination, development, evaluation and promotion of programs in a collegial environment supporting excellence in teaching, service and scholarly productivity. The dean, who reports directly to the Chief Academic Officer, works in cooperation with the department chair(s)/program director(s) to ensure quality in educational delivery and compliance with program and state, regional and national accreditation standards.
The Division of Business has an enrollment of over 250 students with 6 full-time faculty members. The Division offers the B.A. in Business Administration with concentrations in management, accounting, marketing, and finance and banking and a M.B.A. with concentrations in accounting, finance, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, healthcare management, and logistics and supply chain management. This is a full-time, 9-month, on-site position starting August 2023.
