Taleo BE is Hiring a Sr. Specialist, US COE Payroll Operations Near Tampa, FL

ROLE SUMMARY

  • The role of the Sr. Specialist, US COE Payroll Ops will support execution multiple strategic projects in the Payroll function primarily for US Region with a focus on continuous improvement, optimization and M&A. This includes but is not limited to projects relating to new payroll technology/automation, payroll remediation/enhancement, time and attendance system enhancement, business continuity SWAT teams and coordination of M&A projects. This role will report to the Director, Global COE Payroll Operations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build strong relationships with key US stakeholders to understand, capture and analyze business needs and improvement opportunities

  • Responsible for delivering a smooth transition on US region M&A activity

  • Coordinate compliance related activities including conducting review with key stakeholders to confirm technology access needs

  • Assist project manager for key payroll, time-keeping and M&A projects, including but not limited to developing and monitoring the project plan, participating in project meetings and handling project related communications.

  • Partner with the payroll and tax processing team during projects in M&A and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities for and implement continuous improvement and transformational projects

  • Work with key stakeholders and payroll operations to understand, capture and analyze business needs and improvement opportunities.

  • Communicate project status and escalate issues to M&A and payroll leadership as appropriate.

  • Ensure colleague experience with Payroll through M&A Activity

  • Driving US region execution and deliverables in Global Payroll projects and initiatives

  • Support Time and attendance harmonization and system implementation for US, understanding manufacturing landscape and requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with at five years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree with three years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree with eight years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. with 0 years of experience; OR 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent 

  • Experience with global shared services end-to-end processes and M&A initiatives

  • Experience in payroll operations or payroll consulting

  • Excellent influence and communication skills, able to facilitate communication session with senior HR and business leaders, understand cultural differences

  • Good analytical skills and able to assess and propose process solutions

  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality

  • Team oriented: strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders

  • Ability to collaborate several projects simultaneously

  • Experience working on multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating a pragmatic approach and results orientation

  • Self-motivated

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in large organizations shared services environment with presence in multiple regions

  • Experience on M&A projects and/or re-organizations

  • Basic knowledge of payroll tax and compliance requirements

  • Knowledge on T&A and Payroll Systems and HCM (Workday): ADP Payroll, eTime and WFM, Kronos

  • Prior experience in large time and attendance implementation / upgrade projects

  • Experience leading processing or project teams

  • Experience with HR manufacturing

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

10% Travel could be needed - project related

Work Location Assignment: 

  • Must be able to work in Pfizer Tampa office 2-3 days per week, or as needed by the business

  • May need to work non-standard hours depending on projects / payroll cycles assigned and payroll processing schedule.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $65,400.00 to $109,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
