CONTRACT SCOPE Tech62, Inc. is seeking a candidate with SketchUp (preferred), AutoCAD, or other relevant CAD modeling skills to support our clientele in Reston, VA. The scope of this position includes independent and team efforts at 3D Modeling of underground facilities (UGFs). The 3D Modeler must be able to expertly use SketchUp to create accurate, 3D, to-scale, point-of-view models of “as built” and designed UGFs. Projects may be based on real site conditions, basic engineering concepts, or modeled from existing AutoCAD drawings. POSITION DUTIES • Generate 3D models to meet specified requirements. • Manage 3D model document libraries. • Provide technical support on-site and remotely as required. • Support development of standard 3D CAD model formats (i.e., templates) for use across the siting team platform to ensure consistency. • Proactively identify areas to be improved. • Support program-specific standards and processes related to the development of 3D models. 3. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 6 years of experience – OR- • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience. Qualifications • Ability to use SketchUp or AutoCAD software(s). • Ability to read engineering drawings. • Capacity for interpreting UGF layout diagrams. • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a nontechnical audience. • Capacity to manage several complex projects simultaneously. • Ability to meet customer requirements and deadlines. • Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance.
