Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description :

The Physical Therapy Assistant plays a crucial role in assisting therapists with treatments, ensuring that movements and treatments are conducted with the utmost quality and care.

They serve as a reliable second hand for Physical Therapists, providing essential support throughout the treatment process.

In addition to clinical duties, the assistant is also responsible for assisting with various front-end tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.

Responsibilities :

• Work closely with therapists to assist in implementing treatment plans and exercises.
• Monitor and ensure that all movements and treatments are conducted correctly and safely.
• Act as a liaison between therapists and patients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of treatment plans.
• Assist with front-end tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing cancellations, and contacting patients who have not shown up for their appointments.
• Perform weekly inventory checks and assist with clinic cleanup to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Arrive punctually, at least 15 minutes before each patient appointment, to prepare for the day's treatments.
• Assist therapists with preparation for treatments, including setting up equipment and preparing treatment areas.
• Proactively find tasks to complete during downtime to contribute to the efficient operation of the clinic.
• Understand and anticipate patient needs to provide a personalized and effective outpatient experience.

Requirements :

• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population is essential.

Schedule :

Monday to Friday, with flexibility required based on patient needs.

Salary :

$15 per hour, with the potential for higher compensation based on experience and qualifications.
