Our boutique Lake Tahoe hotel is lookingfor an enthusiastic, hands-on Manager to join our team in providing extraordinary customerservice and making a great impression on our guests and the community.Our property attracts both business andrecreational travelers, many of whom have been visiting us for years.Our Manager is responsible forcoordinating and collaborating with staff on all aspects of hotel operationsincluding day-to-day management of employees and guest satisfaction. Everyone pitches in with housekeeping, frontdesk responsibilities, and general duties as we are a smaller hotel brand.We’reseeking a motivated individual who can provide leadership and complement ourculture of customer-driven service and quality in the industry.

JobResponsibilities:

·Lead staff and management to perform to meet and exceed theexpectations of our guests through genuine and attentive service. This requiresa hands-on approach and the ability to communicate in a respectful andmotivational manner with all levels of staff.

·Set the example of staff expectations by interacting directlywith guests and walking the property with staff and management to effectivelycommunicate your vision of an excellent property.

·Use a high level of energy to set a fast pace that deliversquick responses to our guests. Understanding the need to lead the staff to workas a team amongst each other is vital for success as a Manager with ourcompany.

·Conduct weekly management meetings as well as appropriatedepartmental and staff-wide meetings.

·Communicate with excellence in writing and speaking.

·Capable of understanding Corporate Management policies andprocedures and holding staff and management accountable for meeting thesepolicies.

·Capable of understanding standard operating procedures andmotivating staff to adhere to them.

·Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel, as it will benecessary to compile various reports, as well as develop your own for use inanalyzing business needs and conditions.

·Ability to understand what is needed to make revenue andprofit goals. Must know how to read budgets, account for invoices, and meetexpense controls. Forecasting and Labor Control are also vital in the fiscalmanagement of the hotel.

·Responsible for overall financial accountability andreconciliation for the hotel.

·A heavy focus on integrity, confidentiality, and anempathetic approach to staff and guests will be required, with the balance ofmeeting goals and holding staff accountable for meeting and exceedingstandards.

·Assurance that safety standards, compliance, security, andlocal applicable laws are adhered to, and this is a focus for both guests andstaff.

·Ability to sell, including developing and utilizing sales andmarketing plans and developing and maintaining relationships with guests andbusiness decision-makers.

·Willingness to assist in all other hotel departmentsincluding housekeeping and maintenance when necessary. 

Requirements:

·Must have hotel management experience. Experience withLimited-Service Hotels, boutique brands, and smaller properties is required.

·Experience with reading, analyzing, and interpretingfinancial reports such as P&L, Payroll, Inventories, Budgets, etc.

·Assurance that safety standards, compliance, security, andlocal applicable laws are adhered to.

·Capable of communicating with a wide variety of people,including ownership and management, as well as hourly staff.

·Must be open-minded to a variety of guests and theirindividual needs. Must be able to determine how to meet these needs with theresources available, while meeting cost and labor goals.

·A thorough understanding of Front Office operations,Housekeeping Operations, and Maintenance Operations. Includes developing andmaintaining cost control and purchase strategies, as well as scheduling for theneeds of our guests while meeting labor goals.

·Knowledge of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding areas andrecreational activities is a must.

·Excellent communication and people skills.

·Ability to interact with and manage differentpersonality types.

·Ability to work evenings and weekends.

·Ability to work periodical on-call shifts &holidays.

·Mustbe able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly andaccurately.

·Mustmaintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

·Excellentcritical thinking skills.
