GENERAL MANAGER / BRANCH MANAGER – Edmonton, AB
$145K-$165K Base Salary, 
bonuses, incentives and benefits
TalentSphere has partnered with an established market leader in the building materials/ construction industry. Our client is a distributor and carries a comprehensive product line and supports customers through a knowledgeable inside sales department, an outside sales team and on-line ordering system. The General Manager / Branch Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of their Edmonton branch.Responsibilities 
  • Provide leadership by engaging and empowering the branch team
  • Bring a creative approach to leading, managing and growing the branch revenue
  • Planning, implementing, and improving short and long-term strategies to grow the business through increasing volume, increasing profit margin, increasing market share.
  • Develop and implement programs to improve the quality of service and delivery to meet customer expectations.
  • Full P&L - Sales Revenue, Margin, and Overhead and setting budgets.
  • Hiring, discipline and succession planning.
  • Keep up to date with industry and market trends, the stakeholders, and regulations.
  • Membership & involvement in industry community. 
  • Identify needs for continued branch success re: staffing, products, technology, marketing etc.
  • Be relentless in the pursuit of constant improvement.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, or relevant work experience
  • 8-10 years leadership experience
  • Strong computer software skills – MS Office, CRM, with strong analytical abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationships and team player
  • Ability to build, lead, and motivate a successful team
  • Be able to self-motivate and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
