Job Summary: This position requires a strong understanding of networking concepts, AWS infrastructure, and scripting languages. Responsibilities include managing system availability, security, and connectivity, along with ensuring efficient software development processes and system maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the hardware, software, security, and connectivity of AWS production systems, including firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and load balancers.
- Implement and fine-tune system parameters and configurations to optimize performance and ensure security.
- Monitor system activities, evaluate server resources, and perform Linux server tasks to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
- Integrate automated testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines to uphold code quality and reliability.
- Coordinate software upgrades, patches, and deployments while minimizing downtime and risk through strategies like blue-green deployments and canary releases.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, or other scripting languages.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.
- Experience with user management on Windows and Linux machines, including integration with on-prem AD groups and SSO.
- Knowledge of software development fundamentals, problem-solving, and system documentation.
- Familiarity with cloud security solutions and best practices for ensuring system security and scalability on AWS platforms.
