You will use your knowledge of operational risk and compliance methodologies to identify risk and influence decision making. You will also play an important role in the identification of key themes and root causes relating to incidents and issues.As Senior Risk and Compliance Analyst you will oversee and guide the business in developing control based and measurable actions that reduce either the likelihood or impact of these incidents for reoccurring. You will also build relationships with business stakeholders and may manage relationships external parties. Key Responsibilities include:Deliver high quality and commercially conscious risk advice across the organisation to enable the business to be commercially successful whilst remaining fully compliant with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide Line 2 risk support with incident management, regulatory reporting and controls testingMake sure appropriate Risk Management and/or Compliance reporting is generated and escalated as appropriate.Generate insights to support risk owners in appropriately addressing/managing key risks.Monitor developments in relevant professional fields and act as a source of technical guidance to resolve escalated problems and provide advice on the business impact of Risk Management and/or Compliance requirements (either generated externally by a regulatory body or from internal best practice).Manage relationships with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop appropriate solutions, to deliver a better service to the business.Continue to drive a culture of robust Risk Management and/or ComplianceQualificationsRelevant academic qualifications, e.g. a university degreeExperience in a relevant Risk Management and/or Compliance environment or similarExcellent interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team memberRelevant analysis skillsA sound understanding of the insurance industryFamiliarity with the relevant Business Unit and TAL-wide procedures, policies and guidelinesComputer literacy and a good knowledge of relevant softwareExcellent written and verbal skills in order to articulate technical issues associated to work area Level 3 roles within the Risk Office or Line 1 RiskAdditional InformationAt TAL we value diversity in all its forms and are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable culture for all our people.
