Takeda is an Omakase restaurant situated in the Upper West Side. We strive to bring the UWS neighborhood the best Omakase experience possible.
Our staff will need to be able to maintain a professional bearing while serving our multi course meals to our guests.
We want to welcome aspiring applicants who desire to learn different types of Japanese food and manners.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to understand and explain to guests the contents of their meal.
- Ability to prepare different types of drinks and serve them in a professional manner.
- Need time management and attentiveness skills.
- Assist customers in making their reservation.
- Frequent contact with customers via phone and email over different matters.
- Assisting the other chefs and staff when needed.
- Need excellent customer service skills.
- General cleaning duties
- Acting professionally when communicating with guests and co-workers.
- Ability to handle multiple different tasks assigned by the head chef.
- Ability to listen effectively and respond accordingly.
Experience and Qualifications :
- Elementary Japanese Language abilities (Speaking and Understanding only).
- Experience is not required, but applicants with some will be preferred.
Schedule:
- Sunday will be required.
- From 4pm to 10:30pm (Sunday)
- From 4:45 pm-11:15pm (Wednesday to Saturday )
- Workdays: 3 to 5 days a week.
