Want to be part of this? We currently have an exciting opportunity for IT Asset Analyst II to join our Tailored Technology team. This individual will maintain hardware and software asset records, audit asset records, process asset purchase requests, and assist with budget planning activities. 

What you’ll do

• Maintain hardware asset records in our asset tracking system 
• Maintain software contract and entitlement records in our software tracking system
• Audit asset records to identify and take action on records that require verification or updates
• Process stockroom audits conducted by our technology team members
• Audit software license assignments to identify assigned licenses that are not actively utilized
• Process asset purchase requests submitted by technology team members 
• Process asset reclamation from termed employees
• Assist with budget planning activities
• Monitor and maintain hardware inventory in stock rooms to ensure stock aligns with demand
• Monitor and maintain software licenses to ensure supply meets demand
• Asset Catalog management
• System Only - Asset Disposal and Retirement: Managing the disposal or retirement of IT assets in an environmentally friendly and secure manner. This includes coordinating with appropriate vendors for equipment disposal, ensuring data is securely erased, and documenting the process for auditing purposes.
• Asset Optimization and Cost Reduction: Identifying opportunities to optimize asset usage and reduce costs. This may involve analyzing asset utilization data, identifying underutilized or duplicate assets, and recommending strategies for rationalizing the asset portfolio.
• Enhance and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines related to IT asset management. This includes documenting processes, best practices, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports and conducting analysis to provide insights into asset management performance, compliance, and cost optimization. This includes preparing regular reports for management and stakeholders and leveraging data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
• Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Staying informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in IT asset management. This includes attending conferences, participating in professional networks, and continuous learning to enhance skills and knowledge.
• License Compliance: Ensuring compliance with software license agreements to avoid legal and financial risks. This involves tracking software licenses, monitoring usage, and reconciling licenses with installed software.
• Provide policy recommendations, assess policies and processes for the life cycle management of software and hardware assets.
• Assess and execute governance to normalize, reconcile, and ensure the accuracy of asset data
• Assess governance and processes to enable total visibility of software purchases and installations. 
• Research software publisher licensing terms and conditions to ensure compliance with use 
• Create asset utilization, compliance, and detailed cost reports and dashboards. 
• Provide detailed analysis of asset data, especially forecasted software costs. 
• Responsible to track and ensure the accuracy of ITAM hardware, software, contracts, and purchases throughout product lifecycle. 
• Identify and realize savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Follow through with Procurement, Finance and Technology Leaders to obtain identified savings 

What you’ll bring

• 5 years of related experience supporting IT Asset Management (Hardware and Software)
• Excellent data analysis skills
• Strong ability to analyze data using Excel required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with software license management and licensing agreements
• IAITAM (CSAM, CITAM) or equivalent certification preferred
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices 
• Ivanti ITAM experience preferred
• Experience using device management and discovery platforms (MECM, JAMF, Intune, etc.) for asset data reconciliation
