- Performs technical functions supporting engineering activities
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems
- Works from documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, diagrams, layouts, and plans often, requiring interpretation and application of comprehensive knowledge and practical understanding of electronic theory and principles
- Applications may include analog, digital, and/or video circuits and logic systems
- Conducts testing in a development mode and determines methods or actions to correct malfunctions or design problems
- Recommends modifications to engineering designs as necessary
- May assist in the design, construction, test, and checkout of test equipment
- Normally assigned in areas such as development, engineering, test equipment, system checkout, fabrication, and the like
- Handles routine tasks with no assistance, general instructions on new assignments
- Applies job skills and company policies to complete a wide range of tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
