POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Tactical Air Support, Inc., a national company operating in 14 states across the country, provides domestic and international "Center of Excellence" training and advisory services in tactical aviation, as well as the production, modification, and sustainment/maintenance of high-performance aircraft, is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position will report to the Deputy General Manager for Aircraft Services and will be responsible for the daily and regular maintenance, repair, and general security of all assigned facilities and company vehicles; participates in the project management of construction, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of electrical appliances, systems, facilities, fire suppression, and related electronic controls of varying design or complexity; and ensures clean, presentable, and well-stocked internal and external spaces..

• Able to serve as the point of contact for maintenance projects, obtain estimates, and negotiate services with suppliers and vendors.
• Background or experience with continuous improvement and quality management systems (e.g., ISO/9000 or Lean Six Sigma)
• Ability to apply best practices and methods to gain optimum use of resources.
• Experience with developing and implement preventive maintenance programs for building facilities and safety requirements.
• Strong knowledge of construction and maintenance practices with demonstrated skills in general/basic building/vehicle maintenance.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects.
• Ability to manage multiple roles and projects and to see the big picture.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and be adaptable.
• Ability to cross-train into other specialties.
• Ability to read, listen to, and understand information and ideas verbally and in writing.
• Creativity, positivity, and confidence.
• Regular travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required and ability to support detachments as assigned.
• Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance.
