Engineering and Permits Manager

Tachus Fiber Internet (Tachus) is seeking an outstanding individual to fill the role of Engineering and Permits Manager. Tachus is a fiber broadband internet provider delivering service to the Greater Houston area since 2018. The candidate will be joining a team that brings decades of IT, infrastructure, and technology experience with a proven track record of building and growing highly successful businesses.

Under the leadership of the Director, you will be responsible for:

• CAD and permits for construction drawings.
• Managing a team of drafters and coordinators.
• Manage engineering vendors.
• Set production standards and team goals.
• Creating and maintaining design standards
• Track and report permitting entities per Level 4 polygon.
• Manage permitting submission and feedback.
• Build productive relationships with permitting entities.
• Review and approval invoices from engineering contractors.
• Keeping up with TXDOT, City, County and municipal design and permitting requirements
• Tracking and reporting future projects from permitting districts, as it pertains to our network.
• Track, Monitor & Control risks affecting project performance.
• Project & secure engineering resources for near future projects
• Work with all internal & external stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
• Assist Director when required / needed.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Years of Project experience: 5
• Type of Projects: Telecom, Construction, Energy, Infrastructure and/or Technical
• Work Experience: Management, Advance Excel utilization, AutoCAD, Network Planning, P/L Reviews, Budget Creation, Invoice review / Approval, Review Construction Drawings
• Bachelor'sdegreepreferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work at all levels of an organization and with people of various backgrounds, experience, and educationlevels.
• High level of decision-making ability, balancing customer needs and company objectives
• Strong organization leadership skills with the ability to manage a complex workload in a fast-pacedenvironment.
• Excellent problem-solving techniques and quantitative, analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
