Overview: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Dishwasher. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our kitchen. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth within our organization. Responsibilities: - Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment or by hand - Ensure all dishes and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized - Assist with kitchen and food preparation tasks as needed - Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, including countertops, sinks, and floors - Empty trash containers regularly to maintain a clean and organized work area - Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe working environment - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen Requirements: - Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards - Ability to work well within a team and take direction from supervisors - Basic knowledge of food handling and safety guidelines - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Skills: - Kitchen maintenance: Knowledge of basic kitchen maintenance tasks such as cleaning surfaces, emptying trash containers, and maintaining cleanliness standards. - Bussing: Ability to clear tables efficiently and assist with bussing duties during peak hours. - Food service: Familiarity with food service operations and ability to assist with food preparation tasks. - Cleanliness: Strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards in the kitchen area. - Food handling: Basic knowledge of safe food handling practices. - Restaurant experience: Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar establishment is a plus. - Catering experience: Experience working in catering events or banquet settings is desirable.
