Craft Specialist-Preventative Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

Job Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance inspections on production and facility related equipment.
Lube, oil, clean and maintain production equipment in good operating condition.
Adjust production equipment to insure good operating condition, including adjusting v-belts, and hydraulic systems replacing hoses, tightening loose connections and hardware, etc.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to climb ladders, ride in scissor lift, man lift at heights up to 35’ off of the floor and go on the roof and use a ladder and trap door.
Support established cleaning schedule and respond to requests for emergency spills, leaks, or other sanitation issues.
Must be able to understand maintenance work orders, read blueprints/drawings, and identify all types of metals.

Experience/other expertise, required training, special certifications, etc.:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
3 - 5 years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic working with PLC, hydraulic and manufacturing machinery.
Forklift Certification/Experience Required.
Required to Speak, Read, Write, and Understand English.
Requires computer Skills including Microsoft Outlook and Access Databases such as Computerized Maintenance Management Software and Machines.
Experience with Lockout/Tagout Procedures Preferred.
